After dealing with the disappointment of Allan McCulloughs decision to resign as manager, the North End committee convened to decide on a replacement.
With the experienced Robin Reilly already at the club, it was decided best to promote from within and on Saturday 7th November Reilly was appointed manager of the wee Ballyclare side!!
Robin, father of players rep Johnny Reilly, gained a respectable reputation as a manager as he guided Mossley YM to 5 trophies in 4 seasons! He will no doubt be hoping to repeat this with the Enders!
After a successful 22 month period as manager of Ballyclare North End FC, Allan 'Magoo' McCullough decided to call time and focus more on his long distance running.
Allan brought a wealth of experience to the club and his professional outlook soon rubbed off on fellow members of North End. He attracted many experienced players to the club and in his only full season as manager guided the Enders to 5th in the league and the club scoring 100 goals en route!
He acame runner up as Manager Of The Year behind league winners Ballyclare COmrades Resevers manager. Also, 1 of his new recruits Ricky Thompson won the leagues Player of the Year title!
McCullough made a massive contribution to the development of Ballyclare North End FC, never to be forgotten.
On Saturday 19 January 2008, Ballyclare North End announced the successful appointment of Alan 'Magoo' McCullough as the new manager.
Magoo replaced the successful Ally Lawrie, who in turn 'moved' upstairs to focus on the running of the club.
With just 6 league games of the season remaining, this gives all playing personel time to impress the new manager.
The committee of Ballyclare North End FC, decided to appoint founder member Ally Lawrie as manager/coach of the club, following the departure of Thomas McColgan.
This coincided with a much revamped structure of the club, with the appointment of non-players to the committee. This was to give a much needed impartial opinion on club decisions.
This also instigated the first steps in replacing an already popular website that already had over 6,000 hits recorded on it. It was believed a revamp of the website would raise the clubs profile further and possibly increase appeal and demand of club merchandise to help fund the clubs future.
It was decided on 11th October 2007 that North End Football Club would part ways with the extremely passionate Thomas McColgan as manager.
It was a hard decision which faced the committee, but one that left the club with little choice, after a disappointing start to 07/08 season.
All at Ballyclare North End wish Thomas the best for the future and hope that the steep learning curve he received at North End will continue.
